What Moon Shadow Secret Is
The event is a puzzle, not a battle. Your heroes, troops and Might play no part, so a new player and a veteran start on equal ground. What decides the result is how well you plan your taps and how you use your three helper items. The event page opens with a short line, Reveal the secrets hidden beneath the lunar shadow, and the cards use moon festival art, with 16 different card types on the board.
Do not confuse the event with the Shadow hero. The hero is a UR character with a page of her own, while this event only shares a word with the name. You need Sanctuary level 6 to enter. The Sanctuary page shows the requirements for the early levels.
How the Card Game Works
- Tap a card in the elimination zone to place it in one of the card slots.
- When 3 identical cards sit in the slots, they are removed automatically.
- Use the helper items Remove, Recall and Refresh to get out of tight spots.
- If all 7 slots are full of cards, the challenge fails.
- Remove every card from the board to clear the stage and collect the reward.
Early stages are short. Stage 1 has 3 layers and 39 cards. The board grows quickly after that: stage 10 holds 195 cards in 14 layers, and the last two stages hold 198 cards in 15 layers. On a board that size, a single bad tap costs more than it does early in the event.
Remove, Recall and Refresh Items
The three items make the difference between a clear and a failed run. Each use consumes one matching item, and you hold a separate stock of each type.

Attempts and Challenge Tickets
Every stage run uses one attempt. Free attempts come back on a timer of 3 hours, and the stock holds up to 10. The challenge window shows a countdown to the next free attempt. When free attempts run out, the game asks if you want to spend a Challenge Ticket, which gives one extra attempt. Each stage pays once, when you clear it for the first time. The table lists all 20 stages with their layers, card counts and rewards. The Unity Mooncake is a festival item whose text says that a full moon night is a time for reunion. It drops at stages 7, 10, 13, 17, 20. Tips to Clear Every Stage
- Watch the slot counter first. Failing a stage means 7 filled slots, so keep at least 2 slots free at all times in the later stages.
- Think about the match before the tap. Place a card only when you can see where its two partners are, because a card without partners blocks a slot until one is freed.
- Save Refresh for a stuck board. It only reshuffles the elimination zone, so it does not fix a row that is already full.
- Use Recall for a single mistake. It returns only the last card, so it cannot fix an error from two taps earlier.
- Do not burn your tickets on stage 1 and 2. The first stages need few cards and are easy to clear with free attempts.
- Plan your attempts around the timer. With a stock of 10 and a refill every 3 hours, check in at least once a day so refills are not wasted while the stock sits full.
