Last Asylum Plague Resources
The best way to get resources in Last Asylum: Plague is to upgrade the Herb Garden first, then Farms and Lumberyards, protect your stock with storage buildings and keep your gathering squads on the map. Herb is the scarce resource, and Antitoxin pays for hero levels. This page shows output, storage and Level Supply numbers by level and lists the sources worth using.
Resource Types
The territory runs on Grain, Timber, Herb and Antitoxin. Diamonds are the premium currency, and Gearstones and gear materials come from separate workshops that the gear page covers.
| Resource | Used for | Main source |
|---|---|---|
| Grain | Buildings, research, troops, camp food | Farm, map tiles, Level Supplies |
| Timber | Buildings, research, troops | Lumberyard, map tiles, Level Supplies |
| Herb | Upper building levels, research | Herb Garden, map tiles, Level Supplies |
| Antitoxin | Hero levels | Antitoxin Workshop, Sanctuary upgrades, supplies |
| Diamonds | VIP, shop items, speedups | Events, packs, gift codes |
Grain and Timber pay for most early upgrades, but the upper levels of the Sanctuary ask for a great deal of Herb too. The Sanctuary page shows the full bill for every level.
Resource Production by Level
Each producing building makes a fixed amount per hour at its level. You can place up to 4 Farms, 4 Lumberyards and 4 Herb Gardens, and up to 5 Antitoxin Workshops. The second Farm opens at Sanctuary 4, the fourth at Sanctuary 12, and the fourth Herb Garden only at Sanctuary 19.
| Building level | Farm, Lumberyard per hour | Herb Garden per hour | Antitoxin Workshop per hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 144 | 72 | 1,556 |
| 5 | 5,827 | 3,669 | 8,095 |
| 10 | 11,630 | 7,319 | 21,115 |
| 15 | 17,443 | 10,960 | 49,249 |
| 20 | 23,252 | 14,613 | 108,372 |
| 25 | 28,345 | 18,263 | 162,419 |
| 30 | 34,158 | 21,912 | 259,666 |
The buildings page has the cost and time of every level, and the might page shows how much might the economy buildings add.
Storage and Plunder Protection
The Granary, Lumber Depot and Herb Storage protect a fixed amount of Grain, Timber and Herb from plunder. Anything above the protected amount is open to attackers. All three unlock at Sanctuary level 3, and Antitoxin has no storage building.
| Building level | Granary, Lumber Depot protects | Herb Storage protects |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1,087 | 497 |
| 5 | 13,615 | 4,657 |
| 10 | 180,176 | 60,168 |
| 15 | 1,440,194 | 480,152 |
| 20 | 9,900,166 | 3,300,174 |
| 25 | 36,000,138 | 12,000,115 |
| 30 | 225,000,183 | 75,000,118 |
Research raises these limits further: the Economy branches give up to +50% protection for each resource. The game's plunder table also cuts the yield in three steps by plunder count, as the next table shows.
| Plunder count | Share of the yield |
|---|---|
| 0-6 | 100% |
| 7-10 | 15% |
| 11 and up | 5% |
Level Supply Boxes
A Level Supply box pays resources based on your current Sanctuary level, so the same box gets better as you grow. Grain and Timber boxes pay the same amount. Boxes come from the VIP daily pack, the VIP shop, event rewards and shops, as the VIP page and the shops page show.
| Box | Grain or Timber, Sanctuary 10 | Sanctuary 20 | Sanctuary 30 | Herb, Sanctuary 10 | Sanctuary 20 | Sanctuary 30 | Antitoxin, Sanctuary 10 | Sanctuary 20 | Sanctuary 30 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| R | 6,910 | 11,630 | 17,080 | 4,390 | 7,310 | 10,960 | 4,540 | 42,000 | 108,210 |
| SR | 68,400 | 115,100 | 169,090 | 43,420 | 72,340 | 108,470 | 45,400 | 420,000 | 1,082,100 |
| SSR | 547,160 | 920,780 | 1,352,660 | 347,300 | 578,680 | 867,720 | 363,200 | 3,360,000 | 8,656,800 |
| UR | 1,641,460 | 2,762,340 | 4,057,980 | 1,041,880 | 1,736,030 | 2,603,150 | 1,089,600 | 10,080,000 | 25,970,400 |
A UR Antitoxin box at Sanctuary 30 holds 25,970,400 Antitoxin, which is 24 times an SR box. Open boxes after you raise the Sanctuary, not before, since the payout follows the level at the moment you open them.
Antitoxin Sources
Antitoxin is the experience currency for heroes. Every hero level costs Antitoxin, and the Sanctuary level caps how far heroes can go, so Antitoxin you save before a cap rise only waits. Three sources feed it.
- Antitoxin Workshop. Unlocks at Sanctuary 5, and the second one opens at Sanctuary 10. Five workshops at level 30 make 1,298,330 per hour.
- Sanctuary upgrades. Each Sanctuary level pays an Antitoxin reward when you reach it, and the rewards from level 1 to 30 add up to 1,399,963,000.
- Level Supplies. Antitoxin boxes in the table above pay by Sanctuary level, and the VIP shop and event shops sell them.
Spend Antitoxin on the heroes you actually field, as the tier list ranks them, and keep an eye on the cap on the heroes page.
Video Guide
This video covers ways to boost your resources, so you can see the gathering and production steps from this page in the game.
Gather on the Map
Gathering squads collect from resource tiles on the map, and the load of your soldiers decides how much each march brings home. Load grows with troop tier, so higher tier troops make every gathering trip pay more. The Explorer's Camp also keeps collecting while you are away. Guides add that idle gathering squads waste time, so keep them on Herb tiles first, because Herb is the hardest resource to get.
| Troop tier | Load per soldier | Grain to train | Timber to train |
|---|---|---|---|
| T1 | 400 | 97 | 97 |
| T2 | 600 | 145 | 145 |
| T3 | 800 | 349 | 349 |
| T4 | 1,000 | 903 | 903 |
| T5 | 1,200 | 1,746 | 1,746 |
| T6 | 1,400 | 2,464 | 2,464 |
| T7 | 1,600 | 3,320 | 3,320 |
| T8 | 1,800 | 4,535 | 4,535 |
| T9 | 2,000 | 5,770 | 5,770 |
| T10 | 2,200 | 7,027 | 7,027 |
Research raises gathering speed for each resource by up to +25%, and the Soldier branch raises load. Guides tell you to use Golden Eggs and Lucky Eggs on territory tiles that make the resources you need most, and to use them as they arrive. The Golden Egg page explains the event, and the map page covers tiles and marches.
Resource Monster
Resource monsters stand on the map, and defeating them gives small rewards, including Herbs. One guide says the rewards add up over time, and it is a fair bonus for squads that already travel to a target. Do not plan your economy around them. The squads page shows how many marches you can send.
Research for Resources
The Economy and Prosperous Economy branches in the Research Lab raise output, gathering speed and protection. Research caps add up to +60% output, +25% gathering speed and +50% protection limit for each of Grain, Timber and Herb. Some research nodes also raise how many producing buildings you can have.
| Research | Branch | Lab level | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Additional Farmland | Economy | 9 | Farm Limit |
| Extra Lumberyard | Economy | 12 | Lumberyard Limit |
| Extra Herb Garden | Prosperous Economy | 15 | Herb Garden Limit |
One guide advises taking the gathering speed branch before in-city production, because production is capped by building levels while gathering has no ceiling. The research page lists every node and cost.
Resource Tips
Guides agree on the Herb Garden first. Herb is scarcer than Grain and Timber and turns into a late game bottleneck, and the numbers match: the Herb Garden makes 36% less than a Farm and its storage protects 3 times less. One guide puts the order for week one at Herb Garden, then Farm and Lumberyard, then storage, then the Sanctuary. That guide also says to keep Farm and Lumberyard within a level or two of each other.
One guide suggests stockpiling Timber and speedups ahead of building phases and Diamonds ahead of hero phases, because speedups spent outside an event earn no event points. Another guide names the Instant Produce skill from the Handyman specialty as a daily habit. Event rewards also pay supplies, as the events page lists. If you are new, the upgrade guide shows how resources fit into the build order.
Explorer's Camp
The Explorer's Camp pays Herb without a single march. Its idle production hands out Grain, Timber, Herb and Antitoxin every 5 minutes, and the payout grows with every exploration stage you clear. The Herb part starts at 155 per tick, reaches 324 at stage 100, 980 at stage 300 and 2,117 at stage 598. Push your exploration level whenever you can, because it raises the Herb income of every hour you are offline. The buildings page lists the camp and the squads it unlocks.
Event Rewards as a Herb Source
Events pay Herb in bulk, mostly as Herb Level Supplies that scale with your Sanctuary level. Kingdom War pays Herb Level Supplies (UR), and Crystal Cluster Valley pays them in SR, SSR and UR. Undead Siege hands out Herb Level Supplies (SR) and Herb packs of up to 300K, and Elixir Scramble, Arena, Alliance Duel, Moon Shadow Secret and Alliance Caravan add SR or SSR Herb Level Supplies. Claim every phase reward, because Herb is the resource that runs out first.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best way to get resources in Last Asylum Plague?
Upgrade the Herb Garden first, then Farms and Lumberyards, and keep your gathering squads busy on map tiles. Add Level Supply boxes from the VIP pack and shops, and event rewards. Research in the Economy branches raises output by up to +60% and gathering speed by up to +25%. The production table shows what each building gives.
What is Antitoxin used for?
Antitoxin is the experience currency for heroes. Every hero level costs Antitoxin, and the Sanctuary level sets the hero level cap, so saving Antitoxin before the cap rises gives nothing. You get it from the Antitoxin Workshop, from Antitoxin Level Supplies and from Sanctuary upgrades. See Antitoxin sources and the heroes page.
How do I protect my resources from plunder?
Build and upgrade the Granary, Lumber Depot and Herb Storage. They shield a fixed amount of each resource from plunder, and everything above that amount is open to attackers. At level 30 the Granary protects 225,000,183 Grain. Research can raise the protection limit by up to +50%. Antitoxin has no storage, so spend it.
Which resource runs out first?
Herb runs out first. The Herb Garden makes 36% less per hour than a Farm at level 30, and the Herb Storage protects 3 times less than the Granary. Several guides call Herb the late game bottleneck and tell you to upgrade the Herb Garden before the Farm and Lumberyard. Details are in Herb Garden first.
Does the resource monster give good rewards?
Resource monsters give small rewards, including Herbs, and one guide says they add up over time. They are not a main source, so treat them as a bonus on the way to other map targets. The map section explains how to use your squads.
