Last Asylum Plague Arena
The Arena is the ranked player versus player mode of Last Asylum: Plague. You attack the defense lineups of other players, win or lose ranking points and collect daily and season rewards. The Arena building opens at Sanctuary 7, and the game runs four modes: Rookie Arena, Apex Arena, Arena of Fate and Triangular Arena. The higher ones only take players near the top of the Might ranking.
Arena Modes Compared
Each mode has its own number of free challenges, its own entry line and its own reward track. Rookie Arena is the starting mode that comes with the building. Apex Arena, Arena of Fate and Triangular Arena are open only to players inside a Might ranking line, so a fresh account plays Rookie Arena first. Heroes decide every fight, so the heroes page and the tier list are the first stops for a stronger lineup.
| Mode | Free challenges per day | Free list refreshes | Entry line | Start points | Defense |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rookie Arena | 5 | 3 | Open to all | 0 | 1 squad |
| Apex Arena | 10 | 3 | Might rank 10,000 | 1,000 | 1 squad |
| Arena of Fate | 10 | 3 | Might rank 1,200 | 1,000 | 1 squad |
| Triangular Arena | 30 | None | Might rank 200 | 1,000 | 3 squads |
Rookie Arena
Rookie Arena comes with the building and has no ranking line. You get 5 free challenges a day and 3 free refreshes of the opponent list, and each list shows 5 opponents. More refreshes cost 10 Diamonds for refreshes 4 to 5, 20 Diamonds for refreshes 6 to 7 and 50 Diamonds for refreshes 8 to 10, and 10 is the daily cap. Battles use the best soldiers you own and never injure them, so you risk only your rank.
Rank rewards are settled once a day. Open the reward window, tap the rewards and claim them by hand, because they reset the next day. At the end of the season you also get season rewards by final rank. Arena Coins from the ranking rewards go into the Exchange Shop, and the shops page covers what else is worth buying there.
Apex Arena
Apex Arena runs as a weekly season. It opens every Monday at 01:00 and ends every Sunday at 24:00 server time, and each round can mix players from 1 to 4 kingdoms. Everyone starts with 1,000 points, and the first ranking follows Might. Each challenge offers 5 opponents based on rank, and you pick one of them. A win adds points, a loss removes points, and the bigger the gap between the two players, the bigger the swing.
You have 10 free challenges a day. Extra attempts cost 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 Diamonds in order. Squad 1 is your default defense lineup, and you can change it after the season starts. On Sunday the final ranking pays out by mail, and the prizes include rare Avatar Frames that raise Hero ATK.
Arena of Fate
Arena of Fate is the step above Apex Arena. It splits players into two tiers by hero Might ranking, Intermediate and Advanced. The in-game window shows Advanced for Might rank 1-200 and Intermediate for rank 200-1,200. If your Might ranking qualifies you for a higher tier, the game offers a promotion, and that offer stays for the current round.
Free challenges are 10 a day, with 3 free list refreshes. The fourth and fifth refresh cost 100 Diamonds each, and 5 is the daily cap. Season rewards are large at the top. An Advanced rank 1 player gets 4,000 Diamonds and a 14 day Duke title, and the alliance of the winner gets a separate alliance prize.
Triangular Arena
Triangular Arena is the team mode. Your defense and your attack both use 3 squads, and the entry line is Might rank 200. You get 30 free challenges a day, no list refresh and no purchase option. To win a match you need to win 2 of the 3 squad fights, and a complete victory scores 5 extra points. A revenge button lets you hit a player who beat you for a Diamond fee.
The daily rewards count wins instead of challenges, so 5 wins pay 50 Study Scroll, 20 Tactical Supply, 400 Fame Medal, 200 Diamonds. Season prizes are paid by rank, and rank 1 alone earns 15,200 Diamonds. The alliance of each top 10 player also gets a reward in four tiers: top tier for rank 1, high tier for rank 2, mid tier for rank 3 and standard tier for ranks 4 to 10.
Warrior, Ranger and Warlock Arenas
The names Warrior Arena, Ranger Arena and Warlock Arena belong to a different mode, the Expedition Battle. It has 3 battlefields, and each one accepts only heroes of its own faction. Progress resets at server time 00:00 on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, and every reset window lasts 48 hours. Before the reset you pick one difficulty per battlefield, and each difficulty has 20 stages. The first full clear unlocks the next difficulty. Heroes below level 100 can get a Special Upgrade that lifts them 1 level, never past the hero level cap. Clears pay Expedition Medals for the Expedition Shop.
Daily Challenge Rewards
Daily challenge chests unlock at 1, 3 and 5 on the counter. Apex Arena pays for challenges, and Triangular Arena pays for wins. Each goal adds to the one before it, mostly in Fame Medals, so five fights a day are worth it even when you lose a few. The table shows the Apex Arena goals, the top goal of Arena of Fate and the Triangular goals.
| Mode | Tier | Goal | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apex Arena | All players | Challenge 1 time | 2 Antitoxin Level Supply (R), 20 Diamonds, 100 Fame Medal, 1 Resource Supply (General) |
| Apex Arena | All players | Challenge 3 times | 4 Antitoxin Level Supply (R), 40 Diamonds, 100 Fame Medal, 2 Resource Supply (General) |

| Triangular Arena | All players | 1 win | 20 Study Scroll, 5 Tactical Supply, 100 Fame Medal, 50 Diamonds, 1 Resource Supply (General) |
| Triangular Arena | All players | 3 wins | 30 Study Scroll, 10 Tactical Supply, 200 Fame Medal, 100 Diamonds, 2 Resource Supply (General) |
| Triangular Arena | All players | 5 wins | 50 Study Scroll, 20 Tactical Supply, 400 Fame Medal, 200 Diamonds, 4 Resource Supply (General) |
Fame Medals appear in every mode, and the Antitoxin supplies feed your hero levels, which the resources page explains. Diamonds are the part to watch, since Triangular Arena pays 200 for five wins while Apex Arena pays 40 for five fights.
Season Rewards
The season ends with a ranking payout by mail. The table lists the first place and the 4 to 10 band for each mode. Arena of Fate and Triangular Arena also pay your alliance when you place in the top 10, so a strong member helps the whole alliance.

Arena Team Tips
The Arena rewards a well built defense and a flexible attack. This video covers general battle tips that also apply to Arena squads.
Pick the five heroes of your best squad from the best team section and put them in Squad 1, because Squad 1 is also your default defense. Each faction takes 20 percent less damage from one other faction, so check the faction of the opponent before you choose who to attack. The squads page explains how squads and lineups work.
One player guide suggests holding part of your challenges for the evening, because positions fall during the day while other players use their attempts. Use the first days of a season to test squads, since a lost attack costs points and nothing else. A squad with lower Might can still win when its main damage dealer has strong gear, so look at the gear page before you chase raw power.
Arena Not Working
Players most often report an Arena that will not open. The game gives a clear reason in nearly every case. The Arena building needs Sanctuary 7. Apex Arena shows an off-season message between rounds and opens again on Monday at 01:00 server time. The higher arenas show a rank message when your Might ranking is outside their line, and a locked event message if you have not been placed yet. A message that the maximum number of challenges is reached means your free and bought attempts for the day are used up.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does the Arena unlock?
The Arena building opens at Sanctuary 7. It costs 480 Grain and 360 Timber and builds in 2s, and you can place only one. The higher modes need a top Might ranking on top of that. See the buildings page and the Sanctuary requirements for the path to level 7.
What is the difference between Apex Arena and Arena of Fate?
Apex Arena is a weekly season from Monday to Sunday with 10 free challenges a day and an entry line at Might rank 10,000. Arena of Fate is stricter, with an entry line at rank 1,200, two tiers (Intermediate and Advanced) and bigger season prizes. Both start every player at 1,000 points.
Why is the Arena not working or not open?
Check three things. Your Sanctuary must be level 7 for the building. Apex Arena only runs inside a weekly window that opens on Monday at 01:00 server time and closes at the end of Sunday, and the window shows an off-season message between rounds. The higher arenas also need your hero Might to sit inside their ranking line. If the window says the season has ended, wait for the next round.
Do Arena battles cost soldiers?
No. Arena battles use the highest-tier soldiers in your territory by default, and your troops are not injured or lost. Only heroes matter for the result. That makes the Arena a safe place to test new squads, because a lost fight costs you ranking points and nothing else.
How do I get more challenges?
Free challenges reset every day. When they run out, you can buy extra ones with Diamonds: 100, 200, 300, 400 and then 500 Diamonds each in Apex Arena. The Triangular Arena gives 30 free challenges and has no purchase option. The beginner guide lists better uses for early Diamonds.
