Last Asylum Plague Tier List
This Last Asylum Plague tier list combines 7 popular hero rankings into one. Arthur and Marlena sit at the top of the S tier, which holds 8 heroes in total. All 31 heroes are placed from S to C: 8 in S, 6 in A+, 9 in A, 3 in B+, 1 in B and 4 in C.

Cynthia
Rated S in 2 of 3 lists
-
Ulfrid
Rated S in 2 of 4 lists
Arthur leads on defense: his passive cuts the damage other Tanks take, he casts a shield, and his strongest skill hits every enemy in range while lowering the damage allies take. Marlena is the Warrior damage dealer with the highest burst damage, and Arthur and Marlena are the pair that nearly every list builds first. Shadow fills the gap Arthur leaves, because Arthur reduces physical damage while Shadow reduces energy damage. Harper raises the attack of allied heroes, Cynthia is a Ranger carry, and Ulfrid reflects part of the damage he takes, while Daskal and Red Lady are ranked by only two lists each.
A+ Tier
-
Nicole
Rated A+ in 2 of 2 lists
-
Bell
Rated A+ in 2 of 2 lists
-
Louis
Rated A+ in 2 of 2 lists
-
Annie
Rated A+ in 2 of 2 lists
-
Bella
Rated A+ in 3 of 5 lists
-
Greenwald
Rated A+ in 3 of 5 lists
Bella is the best stand-in for Arthur: her skills cut the monster damage she takes and weaken enemy attack, and she is easier to get than a UR Tank. Greenwald is a Warlock glass cannon with high damage and low defense, so he needs a Tank such as Arthur or Bella in front, and his passive raises the damage heroes deal to monsters. Louis, Bell, Annie and Nicole are UR heroes who unlock once the server is between 13 and 97 days old, and the two lists that rank them place all four in A+. Bella and Greenwald are rated A+ in only 3 of 5 lists, which the section on disagreement explains.
A Tier
-
Griffith

-
Zoya

-
Billy
Rated A in 2 of 2 lists
-
Jester
Rated A in 2 of 2 lists

Hastar

Stellar
Rated A in 3 of 5 lists
-
Claire
Rated A in 3 of 5 lists
-
Bestar
Rated A in 2 of 5 lists
-
Kesso
Rated A in 2 of 4 lists
Stellar's passive heals the ally with the lowest HP when she dies, which can decide a long boss fight such as the Rat King. Griffith is a Ranger Tank whose aura lowers monster damage for the whole squad, and several lists use him as the second Tank behind Arthur. Claire's team buff grows with the attack of the three strongest allies, Bestar deals bleed damage that builds up in long fights, and Hastar brings crowd control that matters mostly against other players. Zoya, Billy and Jester are UR heroes ranked A by two lists each, and Kesso is the flexible filler at the bottom of the tier.
B+ Tier
Lucius, Celia and Sivir are SSR Warriors who fill early slots and then give way. Lucius is a Tank whose passive lowers monster damage, but he has no shield or team buff, so he steps aside once Arthur or Bella arrives and does not deserve rare upgrade materials. Celia has basic healing and gives way to Stellar, and Sivir is a carry with no damage scaling that is not worth upgrading beyond 3 stars.
B Tier
Ash is the only B-tier hero and the weakest SSR. She is a Ranger carry with decent stats, but her strongest skill hits a single target with physical damage and does less than the skills of other SSR carries. 4 of the 5 lists that rank her agree on B, and the advice is to skip her whenever another SSR is available.
C Tier
-
Durant
Rated C in 5 of 5 lists
-
Robin
Rated C in 5 of 5 lists
-
William
Rated C in 5 of 5 lists
-
Kafa
Rated C in 5 of 5 lists
Durant, Robin, William and Kafa are the four SR heroes, and all 5 lists that rank them put them in C. They carry the opening stages and then fall behind because they do not scale, so most lists say to bench them when the first SSR arrives. Kafa has the narrowest use, mostly for early quests that need Warlock damage.

Where Rankings Disagree
Six SSR heroes show the widest gaps between lists: Bella, Greenwald, Griffith, Stellar, Claire and Bestar. For each of them the lowest list rates the hero B and the highest list rates the hero A+ or S, a gap of at least three steps.
| Hero | Lowest rating | Highest rating | Final tier | Agreement |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bella | B | S | A+ | 3 of 5 |
| Greenwald | B | S | A+ | 3 of 5 |
| Griffith | B | S | A | 1 of 5 |
| Stellar | B | A+ | A | 3 of 5 |
| Claire | B | A+ | A | 3 of 5 |
| Bestar | B | A+ | A | 2 of 5 |
Game mode explains part of the gap. Griffith's aura lowers monster damage, so he is worth most in Rat Swarm Defense and Territory Reclamation and matters less in fights against other players. Bestar's bleed damage builds up over a long fight, which suits Territory Reclamation better than short battles. Claire's buff is built for boss fights, and Stellar's heal on death can decide a long fight like the Rat King.
The stage of the game explains the rest. SSR heroes are easier to get than UR heroes, so they carry a squad while the UR core is still being built. Greenwald shows the split well: he deals heavy damage to monsters, but his low defense means he only works behind a Tank. If one of these six heroes fits the mode you play most, that match matters more than the final tier.
Best Team
Most recommended squads run two Tanks in the front row, two damage dealers behind them and one Support. The first six rows follow the squads the rankings recommend, and the last three are full faction squads built from UR heroes.
| Squad | Heroes | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Starter squad | Arthur, Bella, Marlena, Claire, Celia | New accounts, five Warriors with the full faction bonus |
| No-UR squad | Bella, Greenwald, Claire, Stellar, Griffith | Free-to-play accounts without UR heroes |
| Rat Swarm Defense and Rat King | Arthur, Bella or Griffith, Stellar, Marlena, Greenwald or Claire | Surviving the waves and the boss |
| Territory Reclamation | Arthur, Griffith, Stellar, Bestar, Marlena | Long fights where bleed damage builds up |
| Fights against players | Arthur, Marlena, Hastar, Stellar and one of Ulfrid, Griffith or Claire | Crowd control and damage reduction |
| UR core | Arthur, Marlena, Shadow, Stellar and one flex hero | Covering both physical and energy damage |
| Warrior squad | Arthur, Daskal, Harper, Marlena, Zoya | Full 20 percent faction bonus |
| Ranger squad | Shadow, Louis, Bell, Red Lady, Cynthia | Full 20 percent faction bonus |
| Warlock squad | Ulfrid, Billy, Nicole, Annie, Jester | Full 20 percent faction bonus, needs Billy and Nicole, who unlock once the server is 83 and 97 days old |
The faction bonus works inside your own squad. The bonus switches on after your kingdom's first Royal City Scramble. Three heroes of one faction give 5 percent more health, attack and defense, a three plus two split gives 10 percent, four heroes give 15 percent and five give 20 percent. The starter squad and the three faction squads reach the full 20 percent, while the other squads mix factions and gain less from the bonus. The heroes list covers the faction bonus and counters in full, and the squad setup page shows how to place the rows.

UR Heroes to Pull First
Eight UR heroes reach the S tier. Arthur and Marlena come first because both are available from the start and both are rated S by almost every list that includes them. The rest follow roughly in the order most lists recommend.
- Arthur: UR Warrior Tank, the first hero to build on any account, with a shield and damage reduction for the squad.
- Marlena: UR Warrior damage dealer, the second hero to build, with energy damage and the highest burst.
- Shadow: UR Ranger Tank who unlocks once the server is 6 days old, the usual third UR to build because he reduces energy damage.
- Harper: UR Warrior Support who unlocks once the server is 20 days old, with an attack boost for allied heroes.
- Ulfrid: UR Warlock Tank who unlocks once the server is 41 days old and reflects part of the damage he takes, which pairs well with Arthur.
- Cynthia: UR Ranger damage dealer who unlocks once the server is 6 days old and hits enemies in range.
- Red Lady: UR Ranger damage dealer who unlocks once the server is 34 days old.
- Daskal: UR Warrior Tank who unlocks once the server is 27 days old.
Shadow and Cynthia are the hardest of the group to get, and several lists treat them as premium heroes. If Arthur or Marlena has not dropped yet, Bella and Greenwald hold the same roles as SSR stand-ins until the UR heroes arrive.
How This Tier List Works
Seven popular hero rankings feed this page. Each rating from S down to C becomes a score: S is 5, A+ is 4.5, A is 4, B+ is 3.5, B is 3 and C is 2, and a rating above S counts as 6. A hero's score is the average across the lists that rank the hero. An average of 4.75 or more is S, 4.25 is A+, 3.75 is A, 3.25 is B+, 2.75 is B, and anything lower is C.
The Agreement column counts how many of those lists give the hero the same tier as the final result. Arthur is rated S in 6 of 7 lists, so his place is solid, while Red Lady is rated S in 1 of 2, so hers is less certain. Not every list ranks every hero, so the number of lists runs from 2 to 7. The tier list is updated as new heroes join the game, and the beginner guide shows how to start building your first squad.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the best hero in Last Asylum Plague?
Arthur and Marlena share the top of the tier list. Arthur is rated S in 6 of 7 lists and Marlena in 5 of 6. Arthur is a Tank who shields the squad and lowers the damage it takes, and Marlena is the Warrior damage dealer with the highest burst. Build Arthur first, then Marlena, then add a third UR hero such as Shadow.
Who are the best free-to-play heroes?
Bella, Greenwald, Stellar and Claire are the best free-to-play picks, because SSR heroes are easier to get than UR heroes. Bella is the closest stand-in for Arthur, Greenwald is the top SSR damage dealer, Stellar heals the ally with the lowest HP when she dies, and Claire's buff grows as your UR heroes improve. Arthur also comes from standard summons, so he is worth aiming for early.
Is Bella or Lucius better?
Bella is better. She is rated A+ and Lucius B+, and 4 of the 5 lists that rank both put Bella higher. Her skills cut the monster damage she takes and weaken enemy attack. Lucius lowers monster damage too, but he has no shield or team buff, so he works as a placeholder Tank until Arthur or Bella arrives.
Who is the best Warrior, Ranger and Warlock?
Marlena is the top Warrior, followed by Arthur. Shadow is the top Ranger, followed by Red Lady and Cynthia. Ulfrid is the top Warlock, followed by Nicole and Annie. The gaps inside each faction are small, so fill the roles your squad is missing. Shadow and Ulfrid are rated by only 3 and 4 lists, so their lead is thinner.
Are UR heroes always better than SSR heroes?
No. All 15 UR heroes rank A or higher, 8 of them in S, while the 12 SSR heroes range from A+ down to B. Bella and Greenwald, both SSR, rank above the UR heroes Zoya, Billy and Jester. SSR heroes are easier to get, and a fully built A-tier hero beats a half-built S-tier hero, so depth matters more than rarity.
How often does the tier list change?
The tier list changes when a new hero is released or when the rankings it combines change. Recent additions such as Ulfrid, also called Brian, moved straight into S. A tier list is a guide, not a rule: how heroes work together and which heroes you own still matter most, so use the tiers to choose between heroes you can already build.
