Harper in Last Asylum: Plague
Harper is a UR Warrior Support who earns S in 2 of the 3 popular tier lists that rank him. He plays a flute that raises the attack of every allied hero, and his passive adds more attack for Warriors. Harper fits best in a Warrior squad after the core of Arthur and Marlena is built, so he is a strong fourth UR, not a first one.
Harper Stats
Harper belongs to the Warrior faction, has UR rarity and plays as a support hero. At level 1 Harper has 3,743 HP, 51 ATK and 37 DEF, and a Command (CMD) of 52, the number of troops the hero leads. Maxing out means level 150 and all 50 star steps (10 full stars), which gives 1,565,411 HP, 20,762 ATK and 15,013 DEF, with CMD at 350. By these numbers Harper sits 12th for HP, 7th for ATK and 7th for DEF among 31 heroes. The strongest of the three is ATK, the weakest HP.
The table lists the hero's own stats from level and star upgrades. Gear, base buildings, Ravens, awakening and the exclusive weapon add to them in battle, which is why the full build reaches 920,570 power. Full-build power puts Harper 7th among 31 heroes. Before star steps, Harper at level 150 stands at 1,217,588 HP, 16,150 ATK and 11,678 DEF. 10 shards unlock Harper, and the 50 star steps cost 975 shards more. One UR Hero Omni Shard counts as 1 hero shard. Full stars open the way into the Hall of Honor, with an honor level cap of 600.

Harper Skills
Harper attacks from range, one hit every 0.83 seconds. His kit has five skills: a bubble auto attack, a flute buff for the whole squad, a protective bubble, a passive for Warriors and a support skill. The table gives each skill's effect across skill levels 1 to 40, plus the star that upgrades it. Every full star takes five steps, and the star numbers here are steps. At star 30 the buff grows by 4.5 percent, which makes 34.5%, and at star 50 it lasts 5 seconds longer. Vitality Bubble cuts the damage that the lowest-HP ally takes by 8.2% to 16% for 4 seconds, and it reaches 20% with upgrades. Warrior's Anthem adds 6.15% to 12% ATK to allied Warriors, up to 18%.
Is Harper Worth It
Harper is worth it when the squad already has damage and a front row to buff. The rankings explain why: the ATK buff is a percentage, so it adds more to a fully built Marlena than to an unbuilt one. One ranking puts Harper fourth in the UR order, after Arthur, Marlena and Shadow. Another says Harper is not the hero for a damage screenshot, but in a Warrior squad he can be the key piece, because he makes the team more stable and helps Marlena work.
Harper is also easier to get than some URs. He does not need a premium pack. The video below looks at whether Harper deserves your resources.
Without a Warrior squad, Harper is less attractive. His passive buffs only Warriors, and his protective bubble covers only one or two allies. If your squad is built around Rangers or Warlocks, the passive covers fewer heroes and loses value.
Skill Priority
Harper has four skills that take Skill Badges. The ranking guides that give an order list them like this.
- Vitality Bubble. It recharges every 5 seconds and protects the ally who is about to fall. Stars 15, 35 and 45 raise the cut to 20%, and star 45 adds a second target.
- War Flute Sound. It is the big buff, and it grows at stars 10, 30 and 50. At star 10, the energy damage of all allies goes up by 4.5 percent for 7 seconds after the cast.
- Warrior's Anthem. It helps only Warriors, so it matters most in a squad of four or five of them. The steps at stars 20, 45 and 50 raise it further.
- Bubble. The auto attack reaches 747% ATK at the top, but it is the last skill to level.
If the squad has no Warriors besides Harper, move Warrior's Anthem to the bottom. For the badge price of every skill level, see the upgrade guide.
Gear
A Support like Harper gets the most from armor and boots, so those two slots go first. The gear page has the upgrade details for all four. Stars matter more than gear for Harper, because star 45 gives his bubble a second target and star 50 gives the flute a longer buff.
The exclusive weapon Bard's Horn belongs to Harper. 30 weapon shards unlock it, and 975 more carry it through 50 stars. Over 40 awakening levels Harper spends 2,870 Awaken Shards, with no change to his skills, and the bonuses for each level will appear when his awakening window opens in Era of Revival.
| Bard's Horn star | HP | ATK | DEF |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 156,000 | 1,040 | 1,040 |
| 20 | 336,000 | 2,240 | 2,240 |
| 30 | 569,000 | 3,810 | 3,810 |
| 40 | 870,000 | 5,900 | 5,900 |
| 50 | 1,251,000 | 8,750 | 8,750 |
How to Get Harper
Harper appears once the server has run for 20 days, and the hero unlocks with 10 Harper Shards. He is one of the UR heroes that does not depend on a premium pack. Harper is the earliest of the three UR Support heroes: Bell appears after 69 days and Nicole after 97 days. Tickets, pity and Omni Shards are covered in the heroes list.
Harper vs Celia
Celia is the SSR Warrior Support, and she is free at the start of the game, so she fills the Support slot first. Harper replaces her once he arrives.
| Stat | Harper | Celia |
|---|---|---|
| Rarity, faction, role | UR Warrior Support | SSR Warrior Support |
| Power at full build | 920,570 | 691,655 |
| Attack interval | 0.83 s | 0.5 s |
| Strongest skill | War Flute Sound: ATK of all allies up by 34.5% | Ricochet Blade: 1,956.24% ATK Physical DMG to 3 random targets |
| Active skill | Vitality Bubble: the lowest-HP ally takes 20% less damage | Deadly Lotus: 1,346.4% ATK Physical DMG to 2 targets |
| Passive | Warrior's Anthem: ATK of allied Warriors up by 18% | Damage to monsters up by 18%, resources from monsters up by 60% |
| Support skill | Tenacity: +20 percent ATK, HP and DEF | Tenacity: +10 percent ATK, HP and DEF |
| How to get | Unlocks once the server is 20 days old | Free at the start |
| Tier list rating | S in 2 of 3 lists | B+ in 2 of 4 lists |
Celia deals dagger damage and helps with farming monsters, but none of her upgradable skills buffs the squad's attack, so she works as a placeholder for the Support slot. Harper does the job Celia cannot: he raises the damage of the whole squad. Keep Celia in the squad until Harper reaches his first key stars, then swap.
Best Team for Harper
Harper stands in the middle of the squad, behind the Tanks and in front of the damage dealers. His passive favors Warriors, so the best squads around him have four or five of them.
| Squad | Heroes | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Warrior squad | Arthur, Daskal, Harper, Marlena, Zoya | The full 20 percent faction bonus, with the passive on every Warrior |
| Four Warriors and Cynthia | Arthur, Daskal, Harper, Marlena, Cynthia | More Energy DMG pressure, at the cost of 5 percent faction bonus |
| Four Warriors and Red Lady | Arthur, Daskal, Harper, Marlena, Red Lady | A Ranger damage dealer beside the Warrior core |
| Starter Warriors | Arthur, Bella, Marlena, Claire, Celia | New accounts, with Celia in the Support slot until Harper arrives |
Arthur and Daskal hold the front, Harper buffs the Warriors, Marlena deals the main damage, and the fifth hero adds a second source of Energy DMG. A well-built Cynthia can be worth more than the 5 percent of faction bonus that the all-Warrior squad adds. Frequently Asked Questions
Is Harper worth building?
Yes, after the core is built. Harper gets S from 2 of the 3 lists that rank him, and the lowest list gives A+. War Flute Sound raises the ATK of every allied hero by up to 34.5%, so the buff grows with the heroes it affects. Build Arthur, Marlena and a second Tank first, then add Harper in a Warrior squad.
Which Harper skill should I level first?
Level Vitality Bubble first, then War Flute Sound, then Warrior's Anthem. Vitality Bubble recharges every 5 seconds, cuts the damage the lowest-HP ally takes by up to 20% and gets a second target at star 45. The auto attack Bubble closes the order, and the support skill takes no badges.
How do I get Harper?
Harper appears once the server is 20 days old, and he unlocks with 10 Harper Shards. He does not depend on a premium pack, unlike Shadow or Cynthia. Every 50th recruit pull also gives 10 shards of a UR hero. Keep your shards for one target hero, because shards split between heroes unlock nobody.
Is Harper or Celia better?
Harper is better once you have him. He is a UR hero with 920,570 power against 691,655 for Celia, and his skills raise the ATK of the whole squad. Celia is free at the start, so she fills the Support slot until Harper arrives. Celia's passive helps against monsters and resource drops, which suits farming.
What gear does Harper need?
Armor and boots come first for him. His exclusive weapon, Bard's Horn, needs 30 weapon shards to unlock and then 975 more to reach star 50, and it sits beside his normal gear without replacing it. Fully upgraded, it gives Harper 1,251,000 HP with 8,750 ATK and 8,750 DEF.
