Last Asylum Plague Survivors
Survivors are townspeople who work at posts in your buildings and raise output, capacity and speed. The game has 383 of them: 151 UR, 60 SSR and 172 in the Other group. You recruit them in the Tavern, and you promote UR and SSR survivors with survivor tokens and shards of the same survivor, up to 25 stars.
Survivors do not fight. Heroes go into squads, and the heroes page covers that roster. Survivors stay in the city, and the buildings page shows what each building does before a survivor joins it.
Survivor List by Rarity
The in-game survivor list sorts survivors into UR, SSR and Other. Only UR and SSR survivors have stars. Other survivors keep one fixed Might value, and a repeat of one turns into Survivor Tokens, so they are a stepping stone and not a long-term plan.
| Rarity | Survivors | Might at 0 stars | Might at 25 stars | A repeat recruit gives |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UR | 151 | 20,000 | 50,000 | 10 shards of that survivor |
| SSR | 60 | 10,000 | 25,000 | 10 shards of that survivor |
| Other (grade 3) | 60 | 6,400 | No stars | 20 Survivor Tokens |
| Other (grade 2) | 56 | 3,200 | No stars | 10 Survivor Tokens |
| Other (grade 1) | 56 | 1,600 | No stars | 5 or 10 Survivor Tokens |
A UR survivor ends at 50,000 Might and an SSR survivor at 25,000, so a fully promoted UR is worth twice an SSR in Might. Always check the rarity tag before you read a bonus, since the same post exists in every rarity.
Survivor Posts and Bonuses
Every survivor has a post, and the post sets the bonus. Each of 16 buildings has 4 survivor slots, and the Sanctuary has 2 more for Freya and Elaine, which makes 66 posts in total. Survivors of the same post and rarity give the same bonus, so the post matters more than the name. The table shows the UR bonus from 0 to 25 stars.
| Post | Building | UR | SSR | UR bonus, 0 to 25 stars |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Farmer | Farm | 20 | 4 | Grain Output 52% to 170% |
| Lumberjack | Lumberyard | 20 | 4 | Timber Output 52% to 170% |
| Herbalist | Herb Garden | 20 | 4 | Herb Output 52% to 170% |
| Grain Keeper | Granary | 4 | 4 | Grain Protection Limit 15%; Grain Protection Cap 0 to 9,750,000 |
| Timber Keeper | Lumber Depot | 4 | 4 | Timber Protection Limit 15%; Timber Protection Cap 0 to 9,750,000 |
| Herb Keeper | Herb Storage | 4 | 4 | Herb Protection Limit 15%; Herb Protection Cap 0 to 3,300,000 |

| Blacksmith | Gear Workshop | 4 | 4 | Hero Gear Crafting Speed 8% to 35% |
| Explorer | Explorer's Camp | 4 | 4 | Loot Storage Time 4h 3m; Loot Output 0% to 56% |
| Instructor | Training Grounds | 16 | 4 | Training Capacity 5.2% to 20% |
| Officer | Barracks | 17 | 4 | Soldier Capacity in Barracks 5.2% to 20% |
| Nurse | Infirmary | 16 | 4 | Healing Speed 11%; Infirmary Cap 0 to 60 |
| Attendant | Tavern | 4 | 4 | Free Hero Recruitment CD 6h 30m; Survivor Free Recruitment Cooldown 0m to 5h 35m |
| Liaison | Alliance Hall | 4 | 4 | Help Attempts 3; Help Duration 0m to 1h 1m |
| Bounty Hunter | Sanctuary | 1 | 0 | Extra Falcon Quest chests, 5 to 30 a day |
| Shadow Mercenary | Sanctuary | 1 | 0 | Hero ATK 125 to 725; CMD 1 to 11 |
The Research Lab and the 2nd Workbench share the Researcher post, which is why 8 UR Researchers exist. The Alliance Hall Liaison adds Help Attempts, and the alliance page explains how help works. One guide puts production specialists first (Herb, Timber and Grain), because their output works every hour. The resources page shows how to use that income.
How to Recruit Survivors
Survivor recruiting opens once your Tavern is built. You get 1 free recruit every 3 days, and the other pulls cost one Survivor Recruit Ticket each. A pull comes as a single or a batch of 10. The Attendant post in the Tavern shortens the free recruit cooldown, from 0 to 5h 35m at 25 stars for a UR Attendant.
| Result of one pull | Chance |
|---|---|
| UR survivor or UR shards | 10% |
| SSR survivor or SSR shards | 20.01% |
| Survivor Tokens (1 or 2) | 32.934% |
| Other survivors, grades 1 to 3 | 37.056% |
The recruit pool is set to a guarantee of 50 pulls, backed by a separate list of 149 UR survivors. Freya and Elaine are not in that pool. Tickets come from gift codes, events and the Alliance Shop, where a ticket costs 1,980 Alliance Coins with a limit of 30 purchases. The shops page lists the other stores.
Survivor Tokens and Shards
Survivor tokens and shards do different jobs. Shards belong to one named survivor and unlock them at 10. Tokens are shared, and every promotion step takes some. This video shows how to use survivor tokens in practice.
There are four ways to get tokens. Recruit pulls drop 1 or 2 tokens 32.934% of the time. A repeat Other survivor turns into tokens, and VIP packs include them. The Alliance Shop also sells the Survivor Token for 4 Alliance Coins each, with a limit of 2,500 purchases. At that price, the 24,700 tokens for one full 25-star survivor come to 98,800 Alliance Coins.
Promote Survivors
Promoting adds one star. A star costs shards of that survivor plus tokens, and the cost is the same for every UR and SSR survivor. Each fifth star is a full-star step, and the bonus jumps there. A UR Farmer shows it well: grain output is 60% at star 4, 74% at star 5, and 170% at star 25. An SSR Farmer ends at 120%.
| Star | Shards | Tokens | Total shards | Total tokens | UR Might | SSR Might |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5 | 15 | 5 | 15 | 21,200 | 10,600 |
| 2 | 5 | 30 | 10 | 45 | 22,400 | 11,200 |
| 3 | 5 | 45 | 15 | 90 | 23,600 | 11,800 |
| 4 | 5 | 60 | 20 | 150 | 24,800 | 12,400 |
| 5 | 5 | 150 | 25 | 300 | 26,000 | 13,000 |
| 6 | 10 | 180 | 35 | 480 | 27,200 | 13,600 |
| 7 | 10 | 210 | 45 | 690 | 28,400 | 14,200 |
| 8 | 10 | 240 | 55 | 930 | 29,600 | 14,800 |
| 9 | 10 | 270 | 65 | 1,200 | 30,800 | 15,400 |
| 10 | 10 | 600 | 75 | 1,800 | 32,000 | 16,000 |
| 11 | 20 | 600 | 95 | 2,400 | 33,200 | 16,600 |
| 12 | 20 | 700 | 115 | 3,100 | 34,400 | 17,200 |
| 13 | 20 | 800 | 135 | 3,900 | 35,600 | 17,800 |
| 14 | 20 | 800 | 155 | 4,700 | 36,800 | 18,400 |
| 15 | 20 | 1,400 | 175 | 6,100 | 38,000 | 19,000 |
| 16 | 30 | 1,500 | 205 | 7,600 | 39,200 | 19,600 |
| 17 | 30 | 1,500 | 235 | 9,100 | 40,400 | 20,200 |
| 18 | 30 | 1,600 | 265 | 10,700 | 41,600 | 20,800 |
| 19 | 30 | 1,700 | 295 | 12,400 | 42,800 | 21,400 |
| 20 | 30 | 1,800 | 325 | 14,200 | 44,000 | 22,000 |
| 21 | 50 | 1,900 | 375 | 16,100 | 45,200 | 22,600 |
| 22 | 50 | 2,000 | 425 | 18,100 | 46,400 | 23,200 |
| 23 | 50 | 2,100 | 475 | 20,200 | 47,600 | 23,800 |
| 24 | 50 | 2,200 | 525 | 22,400 | 48,800 | 24,400 |
| 25 | 50 | 2,300 | 575 | 24,700 | 50,000 | 25,000 |
The first 5 stars cost 25 shards and 300 tokens, which is cheap. The last 5 stars cost 250 shards and 10,500 tokens, and that is more than half of the full path.
Is Freya Worth It?
Freya is the UR Bounty Hunter, and the Sanctuary holds her post. She works through Falcon Quests: with her active, each quest gives extra chests. She appears on her own at 10 shards, and the game tells you to go outside the Walls the first time to activate her. The quests themselves are explained on the Falcon Tower page.
| Stars | Extra chests per quest | Extra chests per day | Chest type | Might |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 1 | 5 | SSR Explorer Chest | 20,000 |
| 5 | 2 | 10 | SSR Explorer Chest | 26,000 |
| 10 | 3 | 15 | SSR Explorer Chest | 32,000 |
| 15 | 4 | 20 | SSR Explorer Chest | 38,000 |
| 20 | 4 | 25 | UR Adventurer Chest | 44,000 |
| 25 | 5 | 30 | UR Adventurer Chest | 50,000 |
The numbers say Freya pays off only if you run Falcon Quests every day. Her bonus does not touch heroes, production or troops, and the extra chests are a side income. She also costs the same 575 shards and 24,700 tokens as any other 25-star survivor. A UR Farmer or Lumberjack at the same stars lifts an output that works around the clock.
Is Elaine Worth It?
Elaine is the UR Shadow Mercenary, and she shares the Sanctuary with Freya. She is the only survivor whose bonus goes to your heroes, as Hero ATK and CMD. Her bonus starts at 125 Hero ATK and 1 CMD, and rises with every step. The table lists the values in 5-star steps.
| Stars | Hero ATK | CMD | Might |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 125 | 1 | 20,000 |
| 5 | 245 | 3 | 26,000 |
| 10 | 365 | 5 | 32,000 |
| 15 | 485 | 7 | 38,000 |
| 20 | 605 | 9 | 44,000 |
| 25 | 725 | 11 | 50,000 |
Hero ATK grows by 24 for each star, so a full 25-star Elaine adds 600 more ATK than at the start. That is the case for her: a flat bonus that helps every squad, whichever heroes you run. Her seven VIP packs hold 585 shards and 27,500 tokens, enough for the full path. She does not replace hero stars or gear, and the hero tier list shows where those matter more.
Survivor Upgrade Priority
Two guides agree that you should deploy every survivor you own, since each one has a bonus, and swap in better ones later. Higher rarities give bigger bonuses. A sensible order follows from the tables above.
- Fill all 64 building posts with whoever you have, and use Quick Dispatch in the Residence.
- Promote one UR production survivor (Farmer, Lumberjack or Herbalist) first, because its output works every hour.
- Put the cheap first 5 stars, 25 shards and 300 tokens, on the survivors whose bonus you need most.
- Leave stars 21 to 25 for later, as they cost 250 shards and 10,500 tokens.
- Treat Freya and Elaine as a paid choice, and only take them if you will buy the VIP packs anyway.
New players get these steps in a different order in the beginner guide, and the Sanctuary page shows what to build before survivors matter.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many survivors are in Last Asylum?
The game has 383 survivors: 151 UR, 60 SSR and 172 in the Other group. They fill 66 posts in 17 buildings. Only UR and SSR survivors can be promoted with stars, so they are the ones worth planning around. Read the survivor list for the split by post.
How do I use survivor tokens?
Survivor tokens pay for promotions together with shards of the same survivor. One star costs from 15 tokens at star 1 up to 2,300 at star 25, and the full 25 stars cost 24,700. The promote section lists every step.
What are survivor shards for?
A survivor needs 10 shards to appear on its own, and every promotion step then takes more shards of that same survivor. The full 25 stars need 575 shards. A repeat UR or SSR from recruiting turns into 10 shards, which is why one lucky pull already moves you forward.
How do I recruit survivors?
Build the Tavern, then open the survivor recruit tab. You get 1 free recruit every 3 days, and extra pulls cost a Survivor Recruit Ticket each, in single or 10-pull form. Tickets come from codes, events and the Alliance Shop. See how to recruit for the odds.
Is Freya worth it?
Freya only improves Falcon Quest chests, and her shards come from paid VIP packs. At 0 stars she gives 5 extra chests a day, and at star 25 she gives 30. She suits players who run Falcon Quests every day and plan to pay. Details are in the Freya section.
Is Elaine worth it?
Elaine is the only survivor who strengthens heroes directly: Hero ATK rises from 125 to 725 and CMD from 1 to 11 across her 25 stars. Like Freya, she comes from paid VIP packs. See the Elaine section for the numbers.
