Last Asylum Plague PvP

Published: 2026-10-25

Yes, Last Asylum: Plague has PvP. Doctors scout and attack each other's cities, plunder resources, and fight over the Royal City in alliance events. A shield stops attacks and scouting on your city, a defense squad answers every attack, and your Infirmary decides how many wounded soldiers you can save. This guide covers how battles work, troop losses, shields, plunder, a burning city and the best PvP team.

Is It a PvP Game

PvP is one half of the game. The other half is PvE: world monsters, Elite Blights, Wandering Blight and the alliance Hunt Battle. You can play many days without attacking anyone, but several events force alliances to fight.

How Battles Work

A city attack follows three steps. First you scout the target to see its defending squads and troops. Then you send a squad, or your alliance starts a rally against the city. At the end the game compares both sides in turns and applies the loss rules. Scouting depends on the target's Watchtower: it unlocks at Sanctuary level 8, blocks scouts completely from level 5, and hides up to 5 report fields from level 9.

Your defense squads sit in the Walls, which unlock at Sanctuary level 4. Defending squads fight enemy troops in order from 1 to 4, and units with a higher battle order enter first. After each defense, soldiers from the Barracks refill the defending squads. If the defense fails, a fixed number of Barracks soldiers die. Extra losses depend on the Sanctuary level of the defender, and a lower level loses fewer soldiers.

Put tanks in front and damage dealers behind, because a tank in the back row takes damage last and cannot protect anyone. The squads page explains slots, and the heroes page lists the three factions and how they counter each other.

Troop Losses by Battle

Every battle type has its own base rates for severely wounded and dead soldiers. The final numbers also depend on the lethality bonuses of both sides. Severely wounded soldiers go to the Infirmary, and when it is full, newly wounded soldiers die at once. The Infirmary unlocks at Sanctuary level 7.

Battle typeSeverely woundedDead

Alliance Hunt5%5%
Zombie Siege5%0%
Wandering Blight5%10%
Crystal Cluster Valley60%0%

A city attack costs the attacker 60 percent severely wounded and 20 percent dead, while the defender loses 60 percent as wounded and 0 percent as dead. So an attack without a strong Infirmary is expensive, and a defender with room in the Infirmary loses little. City garrison fights in City Siege kill 20 percent and wound 0 percent.

Shields and War Frenzy

A shield protects your territory from enemy attacks and scouting. It does not protect troops that stand outside your city. The game sells and rewards these shields: Shield (2h), Shield (8h), Shield (12h), Shield (24h), Shield (3d). The Sanctuary gives free 8-hour shields at levels 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 17, which are 7 shields in total. The rechargeable shield holds 5 charges of 8 hours and restores used charges over time, with a cooldown of 7 days.

Any hostile action removes your shield. The game warns you first, because you then enter War Frenzy, and you cannot use a shield again for 15 minutes. The Cursed Land blocks shields entirely. A rally against an Elite Blight is the exception: it does not remove the shield and does not cause War Frenzy.

Plunder and Loot

When you win a city attack, you take part of the target's unprotected resources. The game scales the loot by a plunder counter, and loot falls fast as the counter climbs.

Plunder counterLoot you receive
0 to 6100%
7 to 1015%
11 or more5%

The first 7 plunders pay in full. From 7 to 10 they pay 15 percent, and from 11 on only 5 percent. Guides add that plunder grows with the troop count of your squad and your load research, and that the best targets are unshielded, resource-heavy cities. One guide also advises hitting players without an alliance, because they get no reinforcements and retaliation risk is lower. Protect your own stock with storage buildings, as the resources page explains.

City on Fire

When an enemy breaches your Walls, your city loses City DEF and starts to burn. A burning city loses City DEF every second, and at zero the game relocates your city to a random spot. The Walls hold 10,000 City DEF at every level. Each Walls level also cuts the decay rate and raises the recovery speed by 1 percent, up to 30 percent at level 30.

To stop the fire, pay Diamonds to extinguish it, or ask your alliance for help. One player report says the price is 100 Diamonds, but check the number in your own game. After the fire ends, the Walls repair on their own. A shield bought in time prevents the problem, because attackers cannot reach a shielded city.

Hunt Battle

Hunt Battle is a PvE event, not a PvP one, but it belongs to the alliance war toolkit. An R4 or R5 starts it, and the alliance picks one of 9 difficulties for the whole fight. Every difficulty has the same 5 waves. A wave brings 30 regular Blights and 1 boss, and the kill list shows 500 Alliance Coins for a regular Blight and 2500 Alliance Coins for the boss. Every wave also drops a chest of Gearstones, Grain, Timber and Herb. A higher difficulty pays much more.

Difficulty 9 pays 11,100 Gearstones across the waves, against 4,000 on difficulty 1. Gearstones upgrade your gear, so see the gear page for how to spend them. Choose a difficulty your alliance can clear in all 5 waves.

Kills and Kill Events

Kills are enemy soldiers your troops defeat. Alliances track them in a Kills ranking next to the Might and Donation rankings, and several events turn them into points. Alliance Duel raid day scores each defeated soldier of the matched opponent from 10 to 55 points by level, and the Kingdom War Kill event hands out personal chests for kills around the Royal City, including its turrets and the surrounding Cursed Land. The kill rules for those events sit on the Alliance Duel and Kingdom War pages.

Best PvP Team

A PvP squad has five slots. Keep one faction when you can, put a tank in the front slots, and place your strongest damage dealer behind it. One guide says to focus on one faction early, use the faction counters in PvP and value synergy over single hero strength. The ranked lineups are on the tier list best team section, and each hero page lists skill priority. Remember that defense squads fight in order from 1 to 4, so decide carefully who stands first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Last Asylum a PvP game?

Yes. Doctors attack each other cities, rally on bases, plunder resources and fight in the Arena, Alliance Duel, Kingdom War and Crystal Cluster Valley. Much of the game is still PvE, such as world monsters, Elite Blights and Hunt Battle. A shield blocks attacks and scouting on your city, so you can pick when to fight. See how shields work.

How do you get kills in Last Asylum?

Kills come from defeating enemy soldiers in PvP fights, such as city attacks, the Royal City and its turrets, and the Alliance Duel raid day. Rally with your alliance against a weaker target and keep your strongest squad home, so your own losses stay low. The Kingdom War page lists the kill chests for the cross-Kingdom Kill event.

How do you put out a city on fire?

Pay Diamonds to extinguish the fire, or ask your alliance for help from the burning city window. A breach makes the Wall DEF drop every second, and at zero the game relocates your city to a random spot. Higher Walls slow the decay by up to 30 percent. One player report puts the Diamond price at 100. Read the fire section for details.

What is Hunt Battle in Last Asylum?

Hunt Battle is an alliance PvE event against 5 waves of Blight. An R4 or R5 starts it and picks one of 9 difficulties. Each wave has 30 regular Blights and 1 boss, and every wave drops a chest of Gearstones and resources. The rewards table lists them all.

What is the best PvP team in Last Asylum?

The best PvP team is a five-hero squad of one faction with a tank in front and damage dealers behind, built around your strongest UR heroes. Factions counter each other in a circle, so check the enemy faction before you attack. The tier list best team section ranks the lineups and the squads page explains the slots.
